Tied selling or service augmentation?

They are two different things.

  1. Tied selling disempowers customers by removing choice and control.  It isn’t allowed in most jurisdictions by regulatory bodies, and with good reason.
  2. Service augmentation puts the focus on the customer…it empowers them with options not previously available, and is 100% voluntary.

Because the customer is in control at all times, service augmentation can act as a starting point for an effective engagement campaign.
