Tied selling or service augmentation?
They are two different things.
- Tied selling disempowers customers by removing choice and control. It isn’t allowed in most jurisdictions by regulatory bodies, and with good reason.
- Service augmentation puts the focus on the customer…it empowers them with options not previously available, and is 100% voluntary.
Because the customer is in control at all times, service augmentation can act as a starting point for an effective engagement campaign.
